Welcome to the ACME Collection Contributor Site

The ACME Collection is a sister company to Rubberball Productions and utilizes the Rubberball group of distributors to market and sell its footage collection. By joining ACME, contributors gain access to the most successful stock agencies in the world. These agencies include Getty Images, Corbis, Thought Equity, and many more. At present, Rubberball is selling more than 55,000 images and 6,500 footage clips worldwide, the majority of which are sourced on the RED ONE digital cinema camera. Feel free to click on any of the agency logos below to review our footage collection.

By placing your footage with ACME you are diversifying your efforts and ensuring that your content is sold in the widest and most efficient markets in the world. We sell content in both Rights Managed and Royalty Free licensing models, and our 35% split with contributors is highly competitive.

What are we looking for?

In short, imagery that communicates. In the stock footage world, clips that are highly conceptual and imaginative often sell best. Our customers are looking for slice-of-life footage. You can read through Getty’s comprehensive list of the “Top 100 Conceptual Terms” for ideas. The most successful clips are often edited to between 5-25 seconds. We recommend that you browse the footage available on our partner agency websites to see what is being created and sold as stock.

What are our requirements?

A few simple points are outlined below. Full details are listed on the submissions page.

  • Footage should be shot on one of the approved camera platforms (HD film transfers also acceptable).
  • Footage should be submitted in digital format in 1080p HD or higher resolution.
  • Footage should be submitted on DVD data discs or on hard drive (all drives will be returned).
  • Model and property releases must be included for clips when relevant and submitted as scans of signed documents.
  • Basic metadata (origination, keywords, etc.) must be supplied for every clip.

How do I become a contributor?

We’d like to see your work. If you’re interested in submitting content, please contact us and include a link to a portfolio of your work. In many cases, that may be sufficient for approval; otherwise you may need to upload samples of your work to our FTP site (see instructions here).

Please include the following information in your request for consideration:

  • Link to your online portfolio (or to the files you submitted via FTP)
  • The origination source of the clips and whether the review footage is available for stock representation.
  • How many clips do you currently have available for submission?
  • What is your anticipated production schedule in the future?
  • What is your preferred shooting platform?
  • What content or style do you specialize in?

If we accept your request and extend a contract to you, any clips uploaded with your application that you may want to officially include in the ACME collection will need to be submitted again, following the full contributor submission guidelines.

What are the terms?

The following are some basic points included in the contributor agreement:

  • Contributors can use any assets submitted and accepted by ACME for personal and professional promotional use, but cannot license the assets personally.
  • ACME will be able, with contributor consent, to move assets from one license model to another (e.g., Rights Managed to Royalty Free and vice versa).
